Why I’m Investing In A Virtually Unknown F2 Driver Oscar Piastri — Am I Buying The Right F1 Cards?
So I wasn’t smart enough to buy tons of Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen short print refractors, serial numbered parallel refractors and autos when 2020 Topps Chrome F1 Cards came out.
I watched what happened closely, but never got involved. I, like maybe many of you, was buying more traditional sports — baseball, basketball, football and some soccer, and just didn’t have much interested in getting involved in F1 at the time.
But with the release of 2021 Topps Chrome F1 and 2021 Topps F1, I’ve truly researched and dug in more than any other time in my sports card investing history — with the goal of trying to invest in “The Next Superstar F1 Drivers.”
Certainly cases can be made for Mike Schumacher (the name, pedigree and Haas Racing US Connection), Charles Leclerc, George Russell, Lando Norris and even Carlos Sainz, as they are more proven than the guy I decided to invest huge in.
I went with Oscar Piastri because he has dominated F3 and F2, is only 20 years old, is next up for either Alpine or McLaren in F1, and has banger cards at pretty affordable prices.
