Is Running A U.S.-based Business From Spain Hard?

…a contact of mine interested in a new website asked me during a sales call (over uberconference.com) this week.

Of course, I immediately thought: BLOG POST!

After all, a year ago I wrote “I’m moving to Valencia, Spain, but NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE.”

What I meant was that nothing was going to change for the worse for my clients. I was right about that, but I was wrong about the change part.

:)

But seriously, the wording of his question made me ponder a few things. Mainly, different ways I would have asked it, or a completely different set of questions I would have asked instead. Like…

1. Isn’t running a business, period, hard?

I mean, regardless of where it’s based, and regardless of where the person operating it is physically - it’s hard, right?

For real though. Like, if I was sitting in a room with all of my co-workers, teammates and clients all day, it would still be freaking hard to run a business.

Building a company culture is hard AF. Finding good people, hard AF. Making a sale —…
